Dominique is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina with an AS in Culinary Arts and a BS in Food Service Management and a concentration (or minor) in Food and Beverage. She has worked for Chef John Besh at Restaurant August in New Orleans and as a manager and assistant wine director (or sommelier) under Scott Daniels at Blue Restaurant and Bar in Charlotte, NC. She has completed 2 levels of wine certification through the International Sommelier Guild along with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust’s levels 1 and 2, and is currently working towards the level 3 Advanced Certification in Wine and Spirits. In August 2012 Dominique returned home to run Café Dominique in downtown Houma with her mother Donna Chabert-Malbrough, and in February 2014, she became owner of Dominique’s Wine Boutique and Bistro, combining her passion for food and wine.
Gabie is a graduate of the John Folse Culinary Institute in Thibodaux, Louisiana. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Culinary Arts. She began working at Dominique’s Bistro in June 2019 and became sous chef of Dominique’s Bistro in 2020. With a passion for baking and pastry, she continues to be a vital part of everything we do.
